How the table came about...
I wanted to have a table that would fold in half and make a small table/desk. Replaced the old fiberboard table that had soaked up alot of moisture over the years and weighed a ton. So here is almost finished product.
Figured out finished size of table and cut in half. Leg is removable. The leg is approximately 24" tall and table is approximately 30" x 40" so was unable to have a hinged leg (and I liked this leg that I have been hauling around for years)
Attached two boards to underside of back half of table and created a sliding part that had a frame created near front on bottom for leg to fit into.
Remove the leg and lower to use as a bench seat and just fold out for bed.
I used birch plywood but solid wood would be nicer.
I also used butler hinges but think what I have is too flimsy so when I have time will redo and use bigger hinges.
