I bought a 13' Scamp at the Daytona spring swap meet. I gutted it & removed all rivets, repaired the floor, installed a/c,made new doors & countertop(lengthened 30")....etc

Good find! Good work!

You want to tell us a little more about that awning on the back? I need a small one like that for my kitchen window.

I made it from figerglass. I made a mold from wood contouring it to the curve of the Scamp, painted the wood, put mold release on it & did a wet layup on the inner side, thus giving the outside of the awning a smooth finish.........Don

I'll post more pictures as you suggest, as I progress.

Some of the other things I did was:
1. removed 6" from the table....that really opened up the interior.
2. reinforced the floor w/welded in steel
3. installed the microwave in the closet along w/2 other shelfs & a electrical plug.
4. added electrical plugs to the rear of one rear seat for a lamp. Changed the circuit to 30 amp.
5.extended the counter top 30" & will build a shelf under it for dvd/cd player
6. added a tv & phone hook-up plugs to the outside.
7. added LED exterior lites.
8. painted the interior tan & put new formica on the counter top & doors

Don....thanks for your interest!

Hi Don,
Was reading with interest about you modifications. Like the shortened table for sure. Mentioned painting the interior tan. Exactly what did you paint? Was it the fiberglass cabinets or the carpet on the walls. (hope this is not a dumb question, but I was thinking of this myself).
Thanks for a reply!

I took all the cabinets out & painted them cream w/bc-cc. Made new doors & a larger countrtop & applied formica.Made a dvd/vcr holder suspended from ceiling. I am now replacing the axel w/a trailing arm vs. leading arm....etc.

Oh! I also made valences for the windos & window awnings from fiberglass.
