The glow, overall effect....
With the backsplash painted white, the glow effect will be more even and intense, I think.

Wow, those are great little 'pot lights' I must ask, where did you purchase those? I would really like to have some of those in my closet.

HHMMmmm, now I am in a real quandery!
DO I ask for whatever kind of wine my American buddy is drinkin (LOVE Francia) or do I go for the 2nd choice of B.C. favorites?? Both of you ask/post some serious possers, LOL!
These lights are/were bought at Rona (Canada) so that sorta eliminates an American connection, but ya can NEVER tell these days. They are sold in sets of 6, and powered with a power pack. The lights are either surface mounted or (as I have done) recessed into the cabinet. They are sold by Catalina Lighting and I cannot find a link to these lights on their site. I wish I coulda posted them all together in one post, to save band width (I have about 5 more shots of the install) but I, as a newbee to 'puterland, lack the knowledge to do this 'trick'. me!!!

the individual lights are plugged onto a power bar that is connected to an on/off switch that in turn runs into a power pack that IS plugged into 110V source. Sold as a set of 6 !!

Don't all those wires hanging down get in the way?

The wires hangin down will be cut back in length according to the length needed for each light, matted back up to the lights 'power bar' which will be glued to the inside wall of the cupboard along with the off/on switch. Power for the lights will be picked up from a junction in the box for the 110V light currently under the cupboard!!
The lining inside the cupboard will be slit, and the lights wires buried in it and the fabric will be glued back down! The light pods themselves do not protrude through the material, only creating about a 3/8in. rise in the fabric where the pod pushes on it.

Kurt, 'Old Timmers' has set in. I bought these lights about 6 months ago and forget the exact cost, but I'm thinkin' something in the $60 > $70 range
