New floor...

Ok, so our floor is done, please excuse the mess of tools and vacums in the pics. Just wanted to show you it actually got done since it has been a while since i posted. I really like the table leg braces painted brown instead of the silver.

Looks great, Shelly! What did you use? How is it secured in place?

Real nice and I bet the trim took longer than the floor, at least that was my issue.

It is a floating floor. But we did end up having to screw down some trim. We tried a calking like glue but it didn't work. We found a couple of open boxes of Winchester Oak, at lowes ,can't remember the brand but it was the bargin of the century. The guy there said if we wanted to pick the good ones out of some open boxes, he could sell me a box for 5$ We bought two boxes for 10 but ended up spending something like 35-40 on trim. It was a fairly inexpensive project and since my hubby is pretty handy he installed it. It looks much better than the grey carpet. The carpet wasn't too bad, just a little worn by the door. But we should be able to take a damp paper towel for clean ups. I really like it. I bought a long, shaggy, biege and tan runner to put down the main part of the camper. Can't really do much else bedding wise until the antenna gets installed. Ed had a guy break in the camper one time when he was camping in florida. The guy ripped the screen and went in the emergency window. Got that fixed today too. Things are really shaping up.

Love that floor. You are doing so many nice things to make this your own. Ed probably will not even recognize his ole camper next time he sees it. I know now why you were able to get one and not me yet - you know how to fix them up to be your very own. You are handy, and I am not. I love what you are doing so far. It is really looking nice, Shelly.

Karalyn, my hubby is the handy one. Thank you all for the nice comments. And Carol, thank you, yes, it is a doggy door. It's just enough room for two small dogs. It is all turning out so neat and it really has been fun. Tuesday it is supposed to be 72 so hopefully we will quit debating on the antenna and finally get it installed.

The floor is BEAUTIFUL, Shelly! You have a real talent for turning your vision of what you wanted it to look like into reality.

But the pink bathroom is still my favorite mod of all!

Looks great, I also put a floating floor in mine, I love it. I also got my flooring on sale, cost me less than $20 for two boxes.

That looks really nice. It's amazing how nice it makes the camper look compared to the carpet that was there.
