New mods with pictures

I decided to install a new floor and remove the original carpet. I purchased 2 boxes @ Home Depot @ $21/each. I only needed 2 pieces from the 2nd box.

Finally some more pictures, the 2nd shows my battery alert alarm set for 11.80 volts. It has been @ 12.75 for 2 weeks now without hookups. Indoor/outdoor weather and refrigerator temps. the final is a Bushnell weather scanner that automatically finds the closest Accuweather broadcast on nationwide so where ever I travel it will update automatically.

Nice work Jim! I really like your power connection and hatch on the street side. We're also considering pulling the carpeting in favor or hardwood. It's much easier to pack a small broom than a vacuum cleaner . (Not that I would ever pack a vacuum)

12.75 without hookups... How much solar do you have and where is it installed? Pix and details how you wired them would be great. I just received the first of 3 panels (one 85W and two 40W) for the roof of our EggCamper. When it's installed, I'll have 165W mounted on the roof working through a Morningstar charge controller.

Hi Jim, Just wondering where you purchased the battery alert alarm? I didn't know these existed.
Very nice set-up!

I just recently learned that they also make a battery isolator for when you are connected to your Tow Vehicle. It ensures that your RV does not drain your vehicle battery.

When you are driving, your vehicle's charging system charges your RV battery until it is fully charged, and the isolator ensures that you can leave when you want to without calling AAA.

Floor is looking good and the red gives the trailer a nice, bright touch.

Looks great! I was wondering what flooring material you used. Is it laminate or that Allure vinyl planks that Home Depot stocks?

Was it difficult to remove the carpet?

Julie

In the Egg Camper the carpet is in 2 sections, easily removable as each section is hemmed and just lays there. The floor is actual wood planks that snap together, not vinyl. I got it at Lowes, not HD, my mistake. You have to start on one side and lay the floor, piece by piece and it locks/snaps into the prior piece. It is an actual floating floor. The time consuming was the trim molding around the perimeter and the tricky cuts on the miter saw. I'll post some more pictures tomorrow of the molding.
