New Trillium & Questions

I just picked up my Trillium this past weekend. I told everyone I would post before shots, and so here are some. I should have put the window rockguard up and got a pic of the front windows. The reason being, the front window is half solid pane glass and half louvers. And the back is fully louvered. I thought the escape hatch window was normally supposed to be in the back. Also, I thought the forums here said the weight on a 1300 was about 950lbs, but the trailer info sticker inside the closet door shows the trailer at 1500lbs. Is this correct? Seems a bit much.

Hi Jared
That is really strange about the windows. The solid pane has been at the back of any I've seen. It certainly wouldn't be much good using it as an escape hatch at the front when the rock guard/awning is down. Maybe someone switched them or they goofed at the factory.

The trailers do weigh about 950. The 1500 is probably the maximum total weight of trailer and your gear. I'll go out later and see what all ours says.

Did you ever discover for sure what year it is?

Good looking trailer. Don't you love that green? Believe me, it will grow on you!
Nancy

1976

You are probably right about the total weight. I never thought of that. The year on this one is a 1976.

very nice, Jared. everything looks pretty good from here, except that propane tank. looks like it had a fight and lost. :lol but that's a minor thing. mine probably looks worse. So are you changing anything? or just GOING CAMPING?

Congrats on your new trailer.

In 1974 the year I was born my grandparents bought a trillium and it looked almost identical to yours except thiers did not have the window in the door.

It too had the "escape hatch" in the front under the rock guard.

It was never changed. so it was available from the factory that way.

The trailer went through my uncle and his 2 kids then over to my mom and her 2 kids (me one of them) but she wouldn't let it go to me... so I bought my own egg.

Anyhow I have her trillium in my drive way at the moment and if you want to compare anything let me know.

Saddly her's is in poor shape - its been run into the ground used on unmaintained gravel roads for the last 8 years or so

(some say I talk too much)
