Thanks, I ask because I just put laminate, floating floor in our 13' scamp. It all went smoothly until I had to install trim on the back of the camper which butts up to the fiberglass. I ended up using plastic 1/4 round, heated it up to put a curve to it and hot glued it until it dried and caulked only one side of it to allow for expansion/ contraction. I glued the bottom so it would not pull the ensolite loose.
As I looked into your project I noticed you have a 17'er, which means you may have a different set up. Just hoping to find another solution in case mine fails. Thanks for your input.

Ok, I was wondering how you put vinyl over carpet... but was willing to believe that the carpet was very low pile or something.

Mike...the carpet in Casita trailers is very low pile. I thought about removing the carpet but decided that the layer of carpet would help keep the new floor warmer. I talked to a number of other members on other forums and most said that they did not remove the carpet. Tom

Does anyone know how the carpet in a Scamp compares with the carpet in a Casita? Specifically, is the Scamp carpet pile as 'low' as that in the Casitas?
Thanks,
Fran

Looks great and looks like it was original to the trailer. Nice idea about putting it over the carpet, I didn't think you could do that and not have it crack.

Fran, My scamp carpet is very low pile. I was intending to put Allure over top of it. My concern is the carpet getting wet, but I think I can avoid that. If it does happen I think I can install it so that I can take it out to let the carpet dry if necessary with minimal work.
