Older Scamp Vent

Anyone know where to find a replacement latched vent for an older (1984) Scamp that covers the outside area where you turn on the propane for the fridge? Not exactly sure what it's called, so I attached a picture. Any help is much appreciated!

Note - Although the vent in the pic looks in decent condition, it's cracked below the latch lever which causes the vent to bend and open up at highway speeds.

Lots of places online for fridge vents. Here is one of many:
Refrigerator Repair Parts - Dometic Refrigerator Repair Parts - Dometic Refrigerator Vents - GetRVParts

You dont need to get the same thing, only one that fits and has sufficient airflow. So a newer style should be fine. You would have to remove the vent and frame however.

Can you find the model number on the vent?

You might get a small aluminum angle or strip and install it behind the cracked area with a rivet on each side, This should reinforce the area and restore proper function without even being visible.

Spoken like a man who doesn’t like to spend money when he doesn’t have to. A man after my own heart. Repair strips, corner angles , braces, fishplates, that’s what will make us great again.
