Organizing the Casita's 'Under Sink' storage

I have a spirit deluxe (with the furnace) and discovered on my long trip to alaska the i really need to do something with the area under the sink.

Any suggestions from you highly motived mod people? Anyone done this already and willing to share their thoughts.?

I'm thinking along the line of some wire shelves. Just something to keep all of the pots and pans from bouncing around. I keep having to put my cast iron pan in a plastic grocery bag to prevent the carpet under there from getting all "nasty"...

Thanks..

Under Sink Storage

:wave
I went to Walmart locally and purchased some stacking shelves with the half-open fronts. Three sit perfectly under the stove and three under the sink in our 17' LD. I'm not sure how differently the Spirit is arranged. Will try to figure out how to post pictures.

cabinet shelves

bdavid:

I raised the floor by using some 2 x 4s and a piece of mdf (the same stuff the cabinet doors are made of) cut to fit for the new floor. Kind of a puzzle to fit it thru the cabinet door. I like it for trying to get to stuff in the rear of the cabinet. :)

Then cut an old refrigerator shelf. The wire type shelves are good cause you can see thru em. Some folks get the Home Depot type closet shelving. Again, feeding it thru the door is a trick....and the plumbing is in the way. Want to be sure you don't have stuff banging on the propane line. The foam tubing used on air conditioner lines is a good protector.

Bins and Racks under Stove and Sink

Here is our solution. We have a 17' Liberty without a heater so we are able to use both under the sink and stove for storage. Everything rides great...

Under the sink are wire baskets.. There's room in front for my nestled set of pots and pans and my nestled set of plastic bowls.

Under the stove we have three stacking bins .. I keep a cardboard box on the side for paper goods.

We don't have a microwave so we keep our food in the microwave cabinet and the small cabinet above holds our dishes.

wire shelf

I put a single wire Closet Maid shelf in my 17' Casita. It lines up with the bottom of the furnace and really adds useable space for pots and pans. Back right corner rests on wheel well, and the other three corners are supported with shelf support rods. Sorry, couldn't find a pic. See my similar shelves to see support rods at Casitaclub.com. Search under gkellam. Email me if you really want a pic.
