Our Minit

Ok. Having some issues with the re-do of this Minit.
It is a 73.
We need to replace the windows. Really need to do it all the way around. but where on earth would we get them? With the seals?
You can go to Casita and get windows there for them and other fiberglass campers but where on earth do I go for Minits?

We can't seem to find out anything on a Minit. where to get supplies etc.

Help?

You can have RV windows custom made, or use windows from a brand still made, like Scamp, if the sizes are close enough.

Also, windows can be rebuilt is all the hard parts are there, by replacing the rubber and felt parts, which tend to be universal.

Replacing all the windows would end up costing (almost) as much as the trailer cost you! AND, they don't make those wonderful jalousie windows anymore.

See if Dannyh's thread helps you: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ows-41003.html

Don't worry about not finding brand specific information. Other than the frame and body, EVERYTHING else is manufactured by someone else. Everything from the axle to windows to appliances.

We're here to help guide you as you need it...

so we ended up pulling out all the ensolite. As we got to looking, it was damaged more than we thought and also found that there was some water damage behind it.
So, off it came. The upper wood cabinets were damaged as well and had to come out too.

We went and got some carpet and are going to (by suggestion) install it on the walls with the 3M adhesive.
This is something we have never done so it will be a challenge.
Where to start, how to go about it is big.

Do yall have any tips on getting this installed before we tackle it?

Oh! so as we were pulling out the ensolite, we find a cigar box stuck deep in the ensolite.
Inside the box was...............MJ seeds.
LOL.

And. FYI: to remove a smell, soak cotton balls in white vinegar. Place them around the offending area. close it up and let it sit for a few days in the warmth.

VIOLA! the smell is gone.

Hi, I was wondering about your Minit and if you ever changed the axle to add brakes? Although a copy of the Boler, the suspension is springs and the axle seems custom.

THanks!

Old thread, and the OP’s profile indicates they haven’t logged into the forum since 2016.

You are correct that not all the clones have identical frames and axle attachments, and it’s possible yours was modified by a previous owner. If it’s different in some fundamental way, describing what you’ve got with pictures is helpful. I agree that a new axle with brakes (and perhaps a bit more clearance) is a great improvement.

Best wishes!
