With my setup, I can walk in and out of my trailer in the pouring down rain and not get a drop on me. Oh, and it only takes my wife 10 minutes to set the whole thing up (the awning plus two sides).

We sure love ours! I can also attest to their resilience in a strong wind. If you've got it staked down, it does not move!

I was concerned about the design in the wind or heavy rain. Some of you that have one, confirmed it was no issue. I guess once mine gets here (it is still in transit), I can find out for myself.

Jim, we got caught in a terrible wind and rain storm last July 4th camping near Whiteface Mountain in the Adirondacks. I got up in the a.m. to find our Gander Mountain canvas had stayed in place, and the Clam never moved. There were tents and canopies all over that had blown down or over.

These Clams are truly ingenious.

My DW and I returned home this morning and my 1660 I ordered was waiting for me. So wanted to see if it could be put up in 45 seconds like they say. Never put one up before and having seen the video I was ready to try once I got it out of the box. READY..... Go! Easily 30 seconds and it was up not counting the side door poles. Wow! I Love it. Ok now they say it goes back in the bag just as easy right? Here we go! Bam! Right back in the bag just as easy. I will never buy another brand again. If this one wears out I will order another. Ted
