Yesterday I did the undercoat as weather was good and today was paint
day. We are using Interlux Brightside using the roll and tip method (there are some great UTube videos on the subject). This paint
must go on when the humidity is below 85% and when the dew point is at least 6 degrees C below ambient temperature, so this morning it was iffy. By noon the forcast was looking very good. An excellent site which gives temp, humidity and dew point for all the local automatic reporting sites is Duncan Weather - Nearby METAR Reports
. Chance of precipitation was 0% and the sun was coming out. About 2/3 of the way through the job it suddenly started raining. I had a large tarp suspended over the trailer but it was positioned to block sun and much of our paint
was exposed to the rain. I knew it would take me half an hour to move the tarp and would probably drag it in the paint if I tried, so we no choice but move the trailer. My trusty old rally
comealong and a chain around a tree and we slid the trailer 4' sideways. Now the sun is out, the paint is setting up and there seems to be no ill effects. Brightside is lovely paint.
