Painted Scamp cabinet doors

Weekend project.

If I couldn't camp, I might as well have been productive.

Looks great Tonia. What kind of paint and color did you use on the cabinet doors. Looks like you're almost ready for a glamping trip!

I took the cabinet doors off a couple of months ago. We're waiting for "Wood From the Hood" (Wood From The Hood | Minneapolis, Minnesota | Recycled Wood Products | High Quality Lumber and Flooring | Commercial Architectural Design | Custom Designed Furniture, Business Promotional Items) to finish turning hunks of a nice old red oak that fell in our yard into yummy doors. They are also doing both tables and a "full sized" dining table for our (real) house. Talk about the ultimate in local sourcing of materials!

They probably won't be here for a couple of months...the wood is currently curing...but as soon as they are up, you'll see 'em!

I primed with zinsser 1-2-3 and used behr interior semi-gloss black. Of course it's not really called black. It's like "saber tooth tiger" or "70s velvet" or some crazy name for black. :-)

I used a 4" roller and the finish turned out well. My cabinets had a slight wood grain (ish) texture to start.
