Painting my Vinyl Awning

I would like to clean and paint the vinyl awning on my 1993 Casita to a more updated color. Has anyone done this and are there words of advice?

Don't -- painting a roll up fabric will only start cracking an look bad really quick. If you want to change the fabric then do just that. Out dated is a matter of opinion. I call it VINTAGE!

If the awning paint job doesn't turn out the way you like, you can then simply change the awning fabric. Nothing lost but a few hours of time and the cost of the vinyl dye.

Let us know how it works out.
