Painting the Interior

We just purchased our first trailer. It’s a 1998 Suntrek Vista. We are looking forward to a few upgrades. We would like to start with giving the interior a fresh coat of paint. It has already been painted once over the original vinyl wall covering. The tape which joins the interior panels is curling and peeling in places and we would like to replace it before we paint. Can someone recommend what tape we should use?

I can't help with the question, but a Suntrek Vista sure is cool looking. When towing do you look in the rear view mirror and think a train is about to hit you?

We also have a 1998 Suntrek. In 2016 I repainted the interior, right over the original wall covering. Last year we did the exterior. We have a great little Sherwin Williams paint store and they recommended a paint that is used to go over wallpaper. I should have some left at the house, will check tonight on the name. It worked great, trailer looks really nice if I do say so myself. We have the same issue in spots with the edging trim, but not much. I would be tempted to crazy glue it back in place then paint over it rather than try to remove it.

Thanks Mark. We love your trailer and the pictures you have posted in the past definitely helped inspire us to buy our trailer. Any advice you could give us would be greatly appreciated. Did you also paint the ceiling?
