"Poor Man's" Camp Kitchen

Here's the camp kitchen I put together the ONE time we tent camped.

4 milk crates, a board, some odds and ends---voila!

You know, Rick's with the pvc pipe and plywood, is a work of art, but this kitchen is fantastic. It is perfectly functional, has a ton of storage and is super easy to make. You know, I really love it!

hey...this is TOTALLY me!! not to negate rick's kitchen, as it is truly wonderful, but i am known as the "make-do queen" and i have set up kitchens like this in my tent-camping days (thankfully those are long behind me!) good work, vicki.

OMG, Vickie you're so organized.....I love it!! I actually have most of the supplies needed to construct one. We went camping last month and our outside cooking arrangement wasn't working well.
Cool!! time to sit back and enjoy all your hard work.

Did you attach the milk crates together? I love this idea for a camp kitchen, but if they're not attached, I'd be afraid it wouldn't be sturdy enough to have a stove on top...especially with two young kids running around.

This turns out to be a 4 year old thread, BUT, Vickie was on the forum about a month ago so she may still be checking in sometimes.
