Jim,

They are really large but the following You tube video shows one of the Newfie ferries being tossed about.

Newfoundland Ferry in massive waves!! - YouTube

I try not to think about an event like this.

Jim, I think this was our 8th crossing and our smoothest by far. We barely could tell it was moving, arrived in Newfoundland just after dawn to bright sunlibht and snow in the mountains.

Passport America.

On our drive to Newfoundland we've stayed at 4 Passport parks and spent between $13 and $20 a night, easily paying for our yearly membership in a week.

Two of the sites were overlooking the ocean and a third is on the Humber River.

Totally agree Diane. I live vicariously through others travels. Newsletters, blogs, etc. I try to read them ALL. Norm's and Ginny's are always terrific. I keep thinking... someday, someday.. I'll be able to share my own travels.

When we bought our Scamp I re-installed the hot water heater, the previous owner had taken it out. I used a plastic fitting to connect a hose to the rear of the tank. This week the fitting began to leak slowly. I believde that over time and maybe with temoerature change the fitting loosened. I retightened it and it has stopped leaking.

As well many Casita people install a valve i n the feed line to their toilet. We were in a little 'some of everything store' and I came across a small metal valve that could act as a shutoff. I'll post a picture

Sorry

Jim, It appears that I've lost a few email addresses with the new phone, I'm sure operator error. You're the second person to let me know they've been dropped. Please PM me your email address and I'll add you to the list.

Unfortunately the PDF file is too large to post.

Thank you for the reminder and Sorry

Here's a picture of the little valve I intend to use as a shut off. I've never seen one this small back home

Iit's been about 5 weeks in Newfoundland. Covering a lot of territory driving down every road to all the little outposts. Just marvelous.

We've only had two Scamp problems front and window leaks in a single rain storm. Has not happened during any other rain event. Absolutely have not figured it out.

Honda doing very well in very hilly terrain and typically strong winds. So far averaging about 22 mpg. Good considering fuel costs

Loving it here.
