Progress thus far!

Hello everyone,
It's been a while since we've posted it's been a busy summer and now that it's fall things are starting to move along. Here are some pictures of our progress to date.

We have run into a couple snags however. The original seals from the windows have gone bad, I'm assuming just broke down over the years, but they were so bad that there isn't enough left of them to use for matching new ones. I was wondering if anyone knows what style/size etc. trim to use in these windows. The windows are the original ones from 1970, I believe they are jalousie windows. Thanks,
Tyler Alice and Olive

Wow Tyler, looking GREAT!

Remember, neither Boler nor Scamp made the windows: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ows-41003.html

Tyler its looking great! Love the paint job.

A number of BC folks have had to purchase more than needed for window seals so they may still have some. Check out this older thread called Looking for Window Seals for Boler and PM those who are in BC - never know someone may have some still taking up space in their garage that they did not use. You could also contact Escape trailer industries and ask if they have any seals for the old windows - they do work on lots of different fiberglass trailers new and old so you never know what they may have in stock.

EDIT: ADDED LINK

There are also the seals for the front and rear windows availble from Scamp. Plus many threads on other sources closer to home.

Looks great! What paint did you use?

Thanks everyone

I used a single stage urethane, it's not a perfect job I have a few paint sags due to my inexperience spaying but all in all I'm really happy with how it's come out.

The interior is going to stay pretty much original with just some aesthetic differences. I removed all the old seam tape, some of it was falling off. Then caulked all the joints, and painted all the foam. In the spring I also plan on remaking the dinette table and cabinet doors, adding a butcher block style counter top and laying resilient plank flooring (allure from home depot). Maybe a few other minor changes here and there, but that's the bulk of it.
