Propane fitting

Hey they, I’m wanting to install a quick connect fitting on an existing flare fitting. Does anyone know the parts or part #s to make this happen. Just like this photo.

Thanks

Is that your setup? Other than a bit dirty it looks right. If this is connected to the downstream side of your regulator you do have to make certain that there is no regulator on the devices that you use, and they will work fine at 11" Water Column which most but Coleman do.

I have a Low Pressure Disconnect, and have had one for 10 years. I just love it. No touting around those little green bottles that always run out, and I can operate up to two devices at a time. I use it for a propane fireplace, BBQ and stove.

Any bigger propane store usually has lots of fittings. Some hardware stores too. Escape installed it on my first trailer from them, but I did it on my second one. I bet Amazon has the parts too.

Are you looking for a MB Sturgis type? Low pressure or high?

I did what you want to do for a Wave heater, but I am foggy on the details now so I will provide some links...

See this:

Also see this, and note that they suggest you call if you need help:

Or hire the job out to someone certified. It can be a DIY job but be sure you do it right, and follow up with a pressure drop test using a manometer with the appliance connected via the QD, valve open, appliance off. IMHO a simple bubble test is not really sufficient.

These are photos of the one I installed in my latest trailer. I wanted it in a closed compartment so did it myself instead of having Escape install it. As mentioned, picked up the parts at a local BBQ store. Works great for us.

I added a sealed aluminum insert into the hatch to keep any possibility of propane from leaking inside. The only thing I would like to change is the keyed hatch lock to an unkeyed latch.
