3 way cooler on sale in Canada
Someone posted this on Facebook "I own a boler".
I've been watching for this to go on sale for a number of years and it finally is at 30% off. $210 at Canadian tire this week.

I saw that post on facebook as well looks kinda neat but it did have a few mixed reviews on the Canadian tire website.

Nice but it only cools 20 degrees below ambient temp. So if its 90 out the cooler will only cool down to 70.

celsius!!!
I have one on right now in the Keys, it cools to 40 degrees F below ambient! when it got cool at night in Key largo ...60F the thing froze up.
The 20 C difference is the Candian metric spec.
Great rigs,,,cheaper than ice every 2 days!
Throw a windshield reflector ove r it for max power.

I just bought one, seems like a decent deal for a 3 way cooler. I haven't tested it yet, but I'll post when I do.

I just bought one, testing it at home it works great. Just wondering where you plan on fitting it on the trailer?

That is amazingly cheap for a 3 way fridge. What is the secret - Chinese?

The secret is that it only cools to 20° below ambient temperature so if its 90 out it will be at 70 degrees - not what most of us expect from the more expensive 3 way fridges found in our trailers.

Some of the reviews indicate freezing capability. Please let us know if it really cools down.

Must remember that this is a Canadian item. Yes it cools 20 degrees from ambient temperature but it states that is 20 degrees Celsius not Fahrenheit.

70* F is 21* C. So 21 -20 =1*C, which is 34*F
At 100*F, fridge would be 65*F

Um, we'll I just bought it yesterday on a whim because my fridge stopped working. I haven't really thought about where it's going to be placed yet.
From the reading I've done, Mobicool is a branch of Waeco. Waeco makes more expense fridges but also has a similar model cooler in their line up.
It comes with an ice tray so I'm going to try make icecubes tonight.
I've also read that it cools better on propane than AC.

The 20 degree below current temp is for 12 volt, which is enough if you run it in your car with the AC on, but the 12 volt option is too power hungry for camping. Both the 120 volt option and the propane option can do a much better job cooling.

I wonder if it could be "souped up" with some added insulation and a computer fan. I did this to my Norcold and was holding a 50 degree F differential.

Your correct my bad I should have noticed that!
Based on that then the correction on my example would be if its 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside the cooler/fridge would be at 54 degrees Fahrenheit which is still well above the 40 degrees Fahrenheit or less that a fridge needs to be in order to be considered safe to store foods that require refrigeration in. Still the reason why it is way cheaper than an actual 3 way RV specific fridge such as a Dometic.
