There are spots unreachable that need glue behind them. I don't want to strip the walls to get there. My head has a plan, but you might have a better one. If I make very small slit and use a glue filled turkey syringe and again, hold with tension rods? GLUE! Silicone glue will peel off between
fiberglass and the insulation apparently. What kind of glue?

That is the way we would make repairs in a gluedown commercial setting such as a furniture store. The syringe had a sharp point and was poked through to apply the glue, no slits were made. Worked great but that was on the floor. I think as others have said, a spray cement, say 3M, with a small tube may be best for you.
