Rebuilding Predom trailer in Croatia

Two days ago bought Predom trailer, built in Poland 1978. It is in very bad condition. General idea is to pull everything out and start from the beginning, but before that i must fix lights and make registration process to make it street legal.
This is what i bought

Welcome to you in Croatia!

It's a cute little trailer; we just finished nine months redoing our 73 amerigo in the USA, so we know the adventure/task you're embarking on.

May it go well for you! LOTS of help here on this forum...lots of older threads, too, for many topics, use the search icon but go to the bottom and type in a short description of what you need and you'll find a lot.

Or start new threads--whatever!

BEST

Thanks everyone for welcoming and wishing good luck.

My first step is going for a two weeks vacation.

Next step is temporary rebuilding wiring and lighting, to make it street legal. Tires are brand new, i only have to check bearings. Also i must check coupling mechanism. Of course, i must install a tow bar to my cargo van (or tow her with my bare hands). Then, tow her to my place.

There will be a great adventure rebuilding her in a very, very small garage. Anyway, i did not put a time frame for rebuilding her (wife hopes she will use her next spring )

General idea is: VINTAGE!
Let's see

My 1989 Predom Captain trailer

Let's see if the picture goes through. I think I have too many pixels.

OK, it's time to be diligent

Instead to my garage, i towed her to trailer depot, just near my home. There is lot of space there and the owner allowed me to work there, so it will be more comfortable.

Step one , removing the interior (not finished yet)

You weren't kidding

Wow, it should look a lot better when you are done. Your liner up around the roof hatch is really different - looks like it has cloth liner on it. The liner on our Captain was a polyester double-knit fabric with very thin foam liner. It was coming off and was yucky. We kept the matching curtains and cushion covers though. they are fine and SOOO vintage.
cheers, Jennifer
PS. I finally got a pix attached to my name so you can see what the Captain looks like. It is a little bigger than the Cadet.

Rear window had a little crack and when i was dismounting it broke

Captain vs. Cadet

Your roof hatch is a lot bigger. Mine is about 50 cm x 50 cm. Your door hardware is fancier too. Maybe it was changed from the original. The hatch under the window on the Captain was added to be able to get under the bed from the outside as we don't ever set it up as a dining area.
