Replacement Hehr Jalousie Window

Hello again!

At the back of my Trillium Jubilee one of the original windows is gone. It has been replaced with a piece of plexiglass. I would like to have this ugly plexiglass replaced with a replacement window. Does anyone have any idea where I could get another window to match the others? An internet search has not turned up much. Other owners *must* have run into this before and found a solution....I hope!

Thanks in advance!

Is that the large "emergency" window?

Your best bet will be to go to a glass shop. They will have to order in the right size and have it "tempered".
By tempered, the right thickness of glass is cut to the size you need then treated to make it suitable for an RV window.

And yes, it will cost more than a regular pane of glass.

Roy - I have another equally large window in the front of the trailer, so no emergency worries! I'm looking for another matching jalousie window to fill the space. A pane of tempered glass will do the job, but only as a last resort!

Sort of like winning a lottery:
You will be waiting for a long time to find a "donor" window of the same size. The next option is finding one with a frame that can be cut down to size.
You might luck out and find someone that can make you a new one but be forewarned its going to be be $$$.

Realistically:
Replacing the plexiglass with tempered glass is your best solution.

I have a friend who bought on this site but through a caravan parts seller.
I do not know if you can buy directly?
Him it has a U-Haul, but I understand that one can buy whatever format is desired ...

Thanks for your input and leads. I'm chasing up both your suggestions, and I have a million alerts set up on eBay. I figure I'll do due diligence and see if I can replace them, if not, tempered glass it is (for now...)!

What all is missing? I assume the frame is there, but the pieces that go around the glass are missing. Are there any of the hinges in place?

You are right that it is likely a the single large emergency exit.

The original glass is not tempered.

David - The missing window measures 23.5''W x 21.5''H. The double window is 47.5''W.
