It's been a while since I've been on here, but I wanted to share that our maiden voyage of the Haunted Mansion was a great success! I've updated the blog about the whole experience (though there's still more I have yet to add, including our second trip which was much closer to home!) but at least it's a start! I invite you to check out the blog - http://sohkraites.wordpress.com.

Thanks again for everyone's help and support in helping us resurrect this awesome trailer!

- Tony

Tony how beautiful you and your Myka have made the Mansion! What a gem. I loved reading your Blog, really entertaining to say the least. So glad you and your family are enjoying the Mansion on a roll to exciting places and fun times. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us all. Loved the key presentation!

…we learned that a roll of paper towels will unroll in transit. Thankfully it unrolled and subsequently folded neatly in the sink. Next time, a clothes pin will have to hold the roll in place!

The spectral residents were at work while you were driving!

Very nice pictures and report, thanks for posting.

Out of this world, out o our ken! Not a ghost of a chance you'll be parting with her, I'm sure.

D Davis -- Thank you! Glad you liked the blog! I thought it would be a good idea to document all our trips as sort of a digital diary...a great way to show how it went from something to be hauled away as garbage to all it's new adventures! The key presentation seemed only fitting since 9 months prior I gave the photo and license plate to Myka! It was kinda like turning over the keys to a house....well, it kinda is. I told her it was her "vacation home."

Paul O. -- It must've been. After all, there are 999 Happy Haunts inside the Haunted Mansion, after all!

Wanderer -- Oh, absolutely not! We intend to keep the Mansion for along time and have many adventures with it!

It's been a while since I posted, but I was PM'd with a request for a pic or two of the sleeping area. We showed the dinette and how it looked with the table up, but not with it down and made up into a bed. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted the message (Sorry!) So here are some pics of the Mansion's sleeping area. We just so happened to be getting it ready for the first summer trip!

The first one is the bed with just the cushions down. The others show how the bed is all made up, complete with the Rest in Peace pillows from the Haunted Mansion store at Walt Disney World!
