We've been looking into
awning options and are looking at the Rhino Rack Sunseeker.
Sunseeker 2.5m Awning - #32105 | Rhino-Rack With the way they mount, I'm thinking I can fabricate my own brackets if needed and install them onto the rail that our
solar panels and faring attach to. I guess my main concern would be sag. The
awning is 25lbs. The rails are set as far out as we could get before the roof curved off to the side. The rails are pretty burly and I feel they'd probably do a good job distributing
weight. The
awning is 8ft and so are the rails. I'd have to set it back off the fairing a little. Any other concerns? Good/bad idea? By the way, we've been on a trip with the new panels, travels great! No issues.
