Sorry, not back from the body shop yet...it's killing us too! My dad did see the inside after that phase had gotten done, but they haven't painted the outside yet.

Sneak preview! We'll be able to pick up on Monday. My dad took a few photos at the body shop yesterday.

Looks like you have an airstream look, nice paint job. I should look great when everything is on.

You might have to change the name to The Silver Surfer. Looks really good.

Wow Jen, What an undertaking. Is the Burro artwork coming back on the trailer. You and your family are doing an incrediable job. Keep the photos coming, you have an avid audience now.

Jen,

If you are artistic, you could paint rivits on the body. Airstream would get a lot of inquires. Really nice.

Always thought one of those airbrush artists could do an astonishing job of making "aluminum strips & rivets" on an egg-shaped f/g trailer, drive the Airstreamers nutz!

At a car show many years ago a guy had a truly ugly old home-made wooden trailer with perfectly rendered Winnebago logos on it. I asked him if that was really the first attempt by Winnie at making something and he said - "Heck no, my uncle made that when I was a little kid. I just put the logos on to piss off the millionaire Winnebago owners!"

Seems worth doing......

I'm heading out to Pittsburgh tomorrow for a weekend of tinkering. It will be the first time I'll see the new paint job in person!

Yes, we are putting Burro decals back on - the angry and/or windswept burro graphic is one of the things I really love about this trailer brand, and I wanted to keep that element.

One of the members here, Mark S I think, did a "burrostream" complete with painted-on seams and rivets, and I think that genius needs to stand on its own, so I'm not going for that look, just basic uninterrupted silver.

I designed a spare tire holder and got it fabricated and maybe we can get that sandblasted and welded onto the bumper and painted this weekend. I'm pretty geeked about my design, which I'll share when I have photos for illustration.

Otherwise this weekend we're going to mess with the new maple kitchen counter, devise and attachment point for the new smaller propane tank, and, uhhhh, some other stuff.
