Scamp 13 with front bunk

Has anyone modified a Scamp 13 with front bunk to a full time front bed? Is it large enough for a 5' 9" adult to sleep comfortably?

Thinking of this option with a chemical toilet and outdoor shower instead of a full bath. Thoughts?

I like the idea. I have a Boler and have comfortably napped on the front gaucho, but I'm 5'6". I think you could sleep longways(spine perpendicular to the axle) if you put your feet under the dinette. Is this plan just for one?

5'9" would be close. I'm 5'8" and I sleep on the lower bunk most of the time. Not a lot of room to spare, but I'm comfortable. All you'd have to do to make it a permanent bed is remove the upper bunk (just a few screws) and maybe upgrade the mattress if desired. I'd hang onto the original set-up for the next user, though.

An outdoor shower can't be used everywhere- but places that have rules about grey water dumping are more likely to have public showers. And if not, you can always wash up with a dishpan and washcloth.

Under what conditions do you plan to use this set-up?

My 5'9" daughter sleeps on the top bunk and my 6'1" son sleeps on the bottom bunk. I don't think it is very roomy, but it is usable.
