Scamp history again

Before I bought my 1976 Scamp I had looked at a (1974 Scamp??) that had the aluminum band vertical over the roof. I passed on it thinking it was a potential water leak. Anybody else remember that?
When I sold my '76 trailer in 2000, a gal from Texas drove up to Minnesota to buy it as she was a singer that had big speakers for her show. She said a Casita had a narrower door and they wouldn't fit inside. It was to be her dressing room.
(Have had my 1999 Scamp 16 since 2000.)

I don't believe Scamp ever had a vertical seam, even back to the original Acorn units. You might be thinking of the Burro trailers?

Correct. Scamps have always had horizontal belly bands. "Acorn" was a 1-year name change only, no difference in construction, nor were they the "originals."

Eveland's first made Bolers under contract with Boler American in 1971, then their own Scamps starting c. 1973-1974(?). The "Acorn" name came and went in 1979 due to a trademark dispute with Skamper.

Burro, U-Haul, and Cloud (also from MN, so perhaps that's the confusion) were 13'ers with a vertical belly band across the top, as well as the larger and more recent EggCamper.
