Correct. Scamps have always had horizontal belly bands. "Acorn" was a 1-year name change only, no difference in construction, nor were they the "originals."
Eveland's first made Bolers under contract with
Boler American in 1971, then their own Scamps starting c. 1973-1974(?). The "Acorn" name came and went in 1979 due to a trademark dispute with Skamper.
Burro,
U-Haul, and
Cloud (also from MN, so perhaps that's the confusion) were 13'ers with a vertical belly band across the top, as well as the larger and more recent
EggCamper.
