I just finished changing out the original tail lights on the Scamp after they began failing from all the gunk. I had replaced the side marker lights with LED's earlier, but was waiting on the tail lights.

Used this complete LED tail light kit by Piranha. It is submersible so no additional worries about sealing it.

LED Tail lights

It is a complete kit including a license plate bracket and found it locally at Lowes for $74. Took about 30 minutes to swap out. It really improves the visibility and safety from the back.

I personally like this shape better than the giant bus lights as well. Next time I pull it out of the garage I'll update a photo.

Can't tell who the manufacturer is on that Camilla, but it does look very similar to the Peterson kit.

We pulled one trip with the new lights and they are awesome compared to the original lights that were on the Scamp. Now have LED's all the way around and visibility is much improved.

I got mine at Autozone, an auto parts/accessories chain store that is quite well represented locally.

Can't remember the price, but doubt I would have paid much over $40. These were round ones that replaced the rusty original round ones almost perfectly. I had to spend a couple of minutes with a rat tail bastard file on each hole to get the new ones to fit. (Better the original hole was too small, than too large.)

I never had a bulb burn out on the originals, or any malfunction for that matter, however the frames were a constant source of irritation as they rusted, and the yellow run off stained the gel coat.

This replacement was part of a complete exterior renovation I did this summer.

Loren - do you have pics? I'd like to see all the things you did on an exterior renovation!

Has anybody ever used these LED tail lights as replacements for the tow vehicle? have you had any trouble with them? if they are as bright as the aftermarket replacement lights for the Casita, it would be a a good idea!

That is a good site, we have them listed in our Helpful-links:
