Screen door for Boler

Hi friends, I will be fulltiming come fall with my large, strong American Bulldog mix. I am wondering what people have done to secure a dog in their trailer while optimizing air flow an avoiding midnight wildlife interactions. Any thoughts/experiences on the matter?

Don't know Bolers, do you have a screen door? We do but find we have to block the lower part of it to keep the dog from going through it, we use the lid off a storage tote. If you have a big dog it might not be enough.
At night we close the door.

Train the dog!

Why not train the dog to know 'place' ?

Once in 'place' the dog shouldn't move for any reason other than to adjust themselves for comfort. It's easy to train and makes this kind of situation much easier. If you're concerned the dog would bolt for some reason - use a tie-out to some structural part of the camper perhaps as a backup

One person bolted a D-ring through the floor under the dinette table to attach a tie-out. When in bed mode, the space under the table made a den.

Personally, if I were doing it, I'd attach it to the metal riser at the front of the dinette floor at the end under the galley overhang. It'd be secure and out of the way there. With the right length tie-out, the dog could get into the "den" or lie in the front of the trailer.

That would be my preference too - and while my dog knows place well and is under control off leash at all times (She's a service dog in training); campgrounds often require leash or tie-outs so I'm looking at doing something like this for that reason.
