My wife wanted a little shelf by the bed for glasses, a clock, bottle of water, etc. So she built a little shelf with brackets that slip into where the Dinette Table goes. It's just held by gravity. There is a 3rd support bracket on the bottom of the shelf.

I used the bottom of board on the larger dinette to make a shelf. It works out fine. Carl
In the Scamp we have shelves over each end of the bed attached to the top of the window's frame. The shelf had the head of the bed contains two white plastic baskets.
