shiny like a new dime
So I decided not to attempt painting the Fiber Stream and went for the waxing. The outside looked so rough I never believed in a million years the shine that we have. Got our new logos and pinstripe done and hubby did 6 coats of the zep floor shine. So happy to have this site, we never would have known how to make this baby look as good as she does with out all the advice. She's almost done just working on a bumper... woo hoo

That looks awesome. Do you care to share what you did. I have a Burro that I am restoring and I'm not sure I am going to paint the outside just yet. I was planning to wax with regular car wax and a buffer. I did a test spot and was not real pleased with the results. Thanks.

we followed everyones advice on here. We scrubbed her down with bartenders friend and the green scrubby pads. we even used a really super fine sanding paper. After she was dry my husband put on some plastic gloves and poured the Zep wet look floor polish (we got at menards) he used a microfiber cloth soaked it in the wax and wrung it out really really well and just started wiping it on working his way around the camper and by the time he got around the first part was dry so he did it again and again and again. lol... he did 3 coats then waited a few hours and decided he wanted it shinier so did 3 more. It was pretty easy and looks amazing.

Looks like straight off the showroom floor. Now you just need a bottle of "new trailer smell" to spritz inside.

I have a 1983 Burro and it was dull even after cleaning and waxing. Then based on recommendations on this site I tired the Zep floor wax, and after 4 coats it shines like new (kinda of). Highly recommended.

So you waxed over the pinstriping and logos?
It looks just super! A big improvement...and don't those additions add just the right touches!?
BEST

Would you be willing to give the exact name of the product you used?

Thank you. And does anyone know what will be needed to remove it if one chooses to paint at a later date?

Folks
Read the posting.
The product used was ZEP (zep floor shine) and it's available anywhere but for sure at Minards (sp)

As posted use the Zep stripper. When you do go to strip it, use it full strength. I use a quart spray bottle and a blue double sided kitchen sponge with the rough side down. From the top down, in 3 or 4' sections. Spray it on and wait 10/15 seconds, sponge and rinse. Takes 2 hrs to strip my SD17 with a beer break. BTW, it's never hurt the factory decals either. The rewax, 5 coats, is about 2 hrs also. Be sure to use a white micro fiber cloth for wax. Using a colored one has left some members with a slight color tinge of the cloth.
