shower door

I have a Scamp 16, Has anyone painted the shower side of the door?
It looks like the interior side of the door does not have a waterproof finished on it. all help appreciated.

There should be a shower curtain rod above the door. I just pull the shower current across when using the shower and leave the door open to get a bit more ventilation to the bathroom when showering as I dont have a fan in the bathroom.

The inside of the shower door in my 16' Scamp is covered in Formica, right from the factory.

I tried painting my cabinet doors. The primer even swelled them up. I had to get new doors made from mdf, the originals were particle board.
