In the old days I carried a dishpan for washing and threw the soapy water outside. The sink was only used for rinsing.

Personally, I do all my dish washing in a large round plastic bowl outside. My single sink in the trailer is being used as a "catch all" for the various odds and ends, especially while in tow.
