I like that! Maybe a little weird to most people, but it's very functional.
Years ago I read of a couple who traveled very extensively in an old J-20 Jeep pickup with a truck camper. Like these guys, they switched to a Mitsubishi 4WD forward-cab small medium-duty truck (using the same camper), and like this rig the taller but shorter cab meant the entire camper was behind the cab, with a big storage box filling the space where the pickup cab was originally. In this case, the motorcycles go there.

Here's a link to an expedition-ready E450 chassis custom 4WD Bigfoot motorhome that's for sale...

At $78500.00 it will probably stay for sale for a while.

Really? In the off-road motorhome market, I don't think many serious shoppers would blink at that price - it's under $100K. Class B's are routinely more expensive, and there's less to them. It's not for me... but it's probably okay to someone.

I just don't think he's advertising it well. First, it's a diesel and probably still a 7.3 as it's an '03. Finding any kind of diesel in a used cutaway chassis is about like finding a $1000 bill on the sidewalk. It doesn't happen very often. It's only got 18k miles on it, and I believe it's the only 4x4 conversion in a Bigfoot moho around. I saw this one in South Dakota, and it's gorgeous. I don't remember how much he spent on doing the 4x4 conversion, but it was substantial.
It's main drawback as an expedition vehicle would probably be it's weight because of the slides.

Given that description, it sounds like a great deal. The option of a diesel engine like that costs several thousand dollars by itself.

... and the enormous rear overhang. I suppose it depends on where the expedition is headed; there might be places where 4WD is a significant advantage but departure angle is not a big concern. Northern roads in winter might be an example.
