An easy mod for anyone who has a too-large table and wishes to have a small alternative.
Anywhere a table post socket base exists in the floor, remember you can use it for any shape of small table as well - not just the standard-issue table(s) that came with the trailer. And in many cases it's possible to add additional table bases if you need them.
In our case, we got this 18 inch tabletop at the local Lowes, sanded it, and coated it with Marine-grade spar varnish. The standard aluminum RV table base is available from most RV suppliers, including the infamous Camping World.
In the
Casita Liberty model trailer, this worked particularly well - the standard smaller (2nd) dinette table was almost always in the way or put away (useless) -- and we wanted an alternative (with no sharp edges). :L
We usually leave the rear double bed set up and just need the small table during all but sleeping time- at which time we pull the standard boards out of the closet to set up for that.
As you can see, April, (whose God-given right it is to be on the bed) approves of the installation.
