Steps to get into 5th wheel bed

Hi: Jerry here.
My wife and I have a 2008 5th wheel Scamp---we love it.
Problem: We are getting older---tougher to get into the front bed. Our Scamp has the full couch just below the front bed----no steps. Have any of you faced this? Is there a portable step or anything that can be built that can help. (The step from the top of the couch into bed is the toughest).
Thanks All: Jerry

No steps needed. Just get about a 6' pole and take a run at the bed Plant the pole into the floor at the front wall and SHAZAAM, your are in the bed....

In lieu of the pole trick, you might consider a small trampoline.

I used to suggest Elevator Shoes, but OSHA put to many requirements on them and the ACME Elevator Shoe Company's stock got stuck in the basement and they had to close.

BTW: This IS NOT indicative of the usual quality of help you will get here.....

Step for bed

We have a Scamp 5er my wife is short and has the same problem. I took a small plastic foot stool attached a thin plywood piece under the feet then glued a piece of carpet to the plywood to protect the seat cushin. Works fine for us. Herman

There are all kinds of steps made for this issue. We have the following that was purchased at Tractor Supply.

store bought stepstool works for us.

Here are some pictures of a Gorilla Ladders 'EasyReach' stepstool purchased from Home Depot that stands on the couch base with the cushion removed. We had turned the bed to run front to back and installed a conventional full-size mattress on a plywood base. The top of the stepstool is attached to the back end of the mattress base, but you could probably come up with another way of securing it.

I extended the upper deck and added steps on a 5er after knee surgery.
