Question stone guard on stripes?

Hi Theresa, this looks great, we have been looking into something like this for our trilly but were disapointed by the price and color options at the professional shops in town.
I have a couple questions. Did you mask around the lower stripes or did you reapply the stripes on top of the stone guard?
also did you talk to the company about using the aliphatic product on a fiberglass RV? is the extra stiffness of this product compared to the aromatic product a problem?
Thanks for the useful post.

grizley grip

Their home page is "grizleygrip.com". It really looks like a great product. I like the almond color. Their site has a color chart. Its nice to see the item actually used. I'm sold. but, in emerald green to match my rims.

I just had something similar done on my Bigfoot 21. Had it done @ Escape trailers, where they offer this sorta stuff as an option if you are buying a new one from them

hi carolyn---i emailed the company--and was VERY pleased with the incredibly good customer service i received, hearing from the owner, ed levans, directly. he was patient with me, despite my inexperience and hesitation. he knew exactly what i intended to apply it to and it was his recommendation to use the aliphatic. frankly, it was very easy to work with. i did mask off the striping and the funny thing was, i couldn't shake the worry that this product might stick SO well to the trailer that i might not be able to get my masking tape off! i needn't have worried, because when i went out 3 hours later to check, it peeled off leaving very crisp lines, with no problems at all.

we have taken the trailer from new brunswick to ontario, drove on gravel roads thru 3 provinces, went thru a hail storm and subjected it to just about every insult known...and it looks as wonderful today as when i applied it. i am so pleased.

Thanks theresa for the clarification or rather reassurance. You've addressed the concerns we had (we were also worried about getting the masking tape off) I think you have convinced me to go ahead with this DIY project.

Using trim or molding?

I've seen a few trailers that are using a trim to separate the gravel or stone guard from the regular gel coat. Some are screwed on, some stuck on. I'm looking for something I can stick on, with the ability to curve. Any ideas?

I want something that looks like this.

Here is one that is screwed on:

Has anyone used this product after painting with interlux brightside one part?? Wondering if it is compatible?
