Reno is starting

Someone had mentioned in an earlier post some interest in the interior of our Suntrek. I am now getting a start on the reno, both interior and exterior. Started recovering the settee cushions and anxiously awaiting some sustained, warmer weather.

Here are some pics from today. We don't have plans to leave the front open for seating, just wanted to show the additional storage available up front (I plan to install a couple of exterior access hatches). Bought 3" memory foam topper, so that will be the normal set-up.

Mark.

Thumbs up 3M Decal Remover Works Like a Charm!!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to post an update and photos. After reading this thread and getting a recommendation from neighbors who used the 3M Decal Remover Wheel to remove decals on their stick-built travel trailer, I tried it on my 1988 Bigfoot B19 Deluxe and it's working great! I had tried a hair dryer and paint remover gun with a gentle scraper, various liquid adhesive and goo removers - all to no avail - until this! I highly recommend it. It just attaches to my drill and acts like an eraser, removing the decals without damaging the finish. I then use a superfine sandpaper very gently to remove more of the shadows. There is a faint ghost image remaining which doesn't bother me and which may hardly be visible once I have de-oxidized and refinished the exterior.

Thanks in advance,

Do a search on RV vinyl insert and you will find it. . The insert is wider than the metal so that it will flex up into the curve. It is used as as screw cover for the screws that hold on the metal band. One important thing to note. Leave the vinyl an extra two inches or more long at each end. Wait at least a few weeks to trim it because it will shrink having settled back to its natural length after being manipulated for installation.
