Table Modification

The table in the scamp crapped out in Santa Fe after 6 years along with two tires. Thinking of going oak but would like to make it with a leaf to fold down. Would like some direction to some mods so my husband gets the picture of what I have been describing what I have seen on here. <_<

There have been many table conversions posted, so you may want to try the "search" option and use the bottom area for the search.
Here are some pictures of our 13' Scamp large bed (54") table changes. I used drawer slides for the table top supports, and a piano hinge to fold the table top not quite in half so we could have a small table for every day use for the two of us, or the larger table for when we have company.

Dave, when you have the table extended to it's full length... how does someone get in or out... or serve food from the kitchen? Or does that person need to sit at a chair at the end?

Donna, the picture does not do a good job of showing how much room there was between the table and the cabinets. We were both able to squeeze in or out between the furnishings.
