What glue did you use on the headliner? I'm trying to reattach some sagging spots in mine.

Headliner

Donna, The headliner fabric is backed with a foam layer. This fabric was purchased at a fabric store, JoAnne Fabrics. It's available in red, black, gray, and beige...etc. The spray glue is a 3M product especially made for headliner attachment.

The fabric on the side walls was wrapped around alumalite panels, and was bought @ an upholstry shop. The walls were first insulated with reflextic, a "sandwich" of aluminum and foam.

Ken, The glue is a spray product made by 3M, especially for headliner attachments. Headliner fabric is foam backed. The wall panels are covered with a fabric quite different than the headliner. Perhaps a magnification of the photo will show how the 2 differ.

Thank You and good luck with re-gluing your headliner.

Really nice job you did ..... You say you used "Reflextix" on the walls and then you wrapped your material over the Alumalite and then installed that over the reflextix?_____
At that point how did you mount the alumalite to the reflextix?____
Again really good job and the wall mounting material you did i am sure would be a great help to alot of people on this forum.
thanks,
Joe

I bought some today $15.00 at the local hardware store that is 80 miles from the next hardware store, so there you go.

Interior..Not Paint, Alumalite Panels

Vickie B,

All the doors and drawer fronts in "Toots" were removed and that heavy "fake lumber" was replaced with an aluminum product, Alumalite.

Alumilite is a light weight, 3 layered sandwich, panel. The middle panel is convoluted to give the material dimension.

Getting rid of the heavy carpet, the doors and drawer fronts helped reduce the total weight, significantly.

Aero ParadiseLLC is the business that did the interior work. They may or maynot be willing to share their installation techniques. Most of their business involves redoing the interiors of airplanes. Mona

Donna,

The headliner fabric was foam backed. The ceiling had to be sanded very smooth, as every bump or blemish would have showed thru the foam backed fabric.

I am very pleased with the redo. Amazing improvements! Mona

Mona, looking at the photos, it looks like they left the cabinets in place during the refit. Is that correct? The reason I ask is because the carpet is sandwiched between the cabinet and the fiberglass wall, so did they just leave those sections of the carpets in place? In other words, is there still carpet in your trailer, behind the cabinets?
