The wife was very resistant to this mod at first, but she's come around. The bunk is in the attic and will be back.
Party mode.

Scott,
I saw this picture once where someone had taken the small 1/2 of the bunk and attached it as a back rest. I'll be doing that this week.

It gives the humans something to lean back on, while giving our dogs more room for their butts, thus resolving their personal space issues.

That is a great mod and just what I need! Can you give me a close up of how that's attached?

Hi Carly,
The whole insert is built with 1 sheet of 3/8 AC plywood, 1 blue camping foam (walmart), 48" piano hinge, 1 slide lock catch, 1 d-ring attachment, 1 telemark ski leash, 1 small eye bolt, and a bunch of small screws. It is only attached to the lower front bunk with 4 small selftappers to keep it from sliding around, and to minimize damage to the infrastructure.
I hope these pics. help. If not, please don't be afraid to ask more questions.
