The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

Well, folks, here is some progress on our newly acquired 1978 Trillium. We are in awe of the talent and energy of the members here. We love seeing these wonderful old units, made just like new. Or recent "improvements" are not by any means a RESTORE. We hope hope that, however, our small projects will encourage those of you, who just want a clean and functioning vintage camper, and maybe like us, are not up to really big re-model. We, still have to see if the hot water heater and furnace are functioning and today, the old guy is checking out the exterior lights, etc. In Texas, we have to be inspected to get our first registration. I have managed to get the interior pretty clean, organized and freshened up. Hope you will enjoy. I will post two sets of pics. Jo and the old guy.

That's my ringtone. When I was in Texas I thought that you only had to have a scale ticket showing the weight of the trailer to get a tag, not a inspection like on the cars.

Well, the old guy went to register, with the bill of sale, transfer, etc. and they said that he had to have an inspection, for the first time it is reg. in Texas. I don't think it means every year. Jo

Depends on the weight of the camper if you have to have it inspected or not......IF it hits the weight limit the inspection is YEARLY....Tags are always yearly just like a car. Not sure what the weight is for camper inspection, check with your DVM to be sure. I live in Texas and have had to have campers inspected before and then I have had some that did not require it.

The work you have done looks very good....Happy Camping ,Lynn

Thanks Lynn. We have heard different reports on the inspection...just have to do some more checking. Appreciate the compliment. We know that our fix-ups are not perfect and new, but it will work for us. JO
