The Perris shake down run!!

After the fiberglass repairs, ne body bolts, frame gusseting, a new table build, new bearings, a new coupler, rewiring and new lp plumbing, lol

Got a chance to do an overnight. All went well other than forgetting pillows and 50mph howling winds and 35 degree temps. Ah, now on to the second stages of fixes...lol

Congrats on the maiden run and years later you'll look back at it with good memories. No pillows, low temps and everything stayed on the wheels....life is good

That baby is up there! It looks good behind that Jeep.

Does it sit on leaf springs or a torsion sprung axle?

Don't hold back. What do you plan next.

I find my list of things gets longer but less important. I have mostly piddling things to do. I'm putting a stick on LED light in the cabinet over the stove.

Yeah it's got a little clearance...lol
It has a leaf spring. ( seems to be the way it came from factory) I did a flip of axle and a 2" shackel extension. It's surprisingly stable at freeway speeds. And if my math is correct it will sit two inches or so higher when i order the matching wheels and tires as the jeep ( not same size , just matching)

Next on the list, i'm half way thru removing all 70's yellow. Lol. The linoliom and updating the cabinets. Then a touch of body clean up, thinking of adding matching jeep fender flares, and once thats all done. I will rhino coat the entire bottom half of trailer. Ye haw...lol

Basicly, nobody builds a " off road" camper that isn't outragouly exspensive, and most seem to be nothing more than "dolled up" off road versions. So i decided to build a real off-road version that fits what i need. Perris Pacer Rubicon Edition...lol

New interior shot, new poly covered maple table. New seat foam and covers. And new curtains and blinds. And industrial kick trim around the bottom. The new flooring is in but hard to see in that pic.

The Rhino coating on the bottom half is a really good idea. I found that out the hard way, 12 years ago Nice looking setup you got there. Also nice than you CAN take it out for a trip, this time of the year. NOT happening yet up here in Ontario

I would suggest against the pintle due to noise, and pick either a lock n roll or a max coupler.

I think we are thinking the same way except my tow vehicle is an 07 FJ

I just bought an '84 Perris and will transfer my Max Coupler from my offroad trailer soon... add a bit of lift and slightly larger tires...
