Well found a small crack on the drivers side frame rail on the bend at the front of the cabin so I plated the bottom and inside of rail at the crack.

Also reinforced under the door opening by adding a piece of channel iron under the door and tubing up from it at longer angles. I forgot to take before pics but the door hardly moves in the opening regardless if it's on it's wheels or jacks.

Everything down there is covered in fresh black Tremclad paint now!

Got some paint on it the other day. Happy I decided to do do two coats of paint instead of primer and paint cause the hibernating flies came out and made a mess of the roof plus I had a few runs etc. Most of this will be sanded off but looks pretty shiney, sorrybbout the last pic.

Very happy with the way the cover turned out, Dave steal away! I've been accused of the same thing and this idea probably isn't entirely mine anyway!!
As for the marine paint job, for the 250 or so dollars I have in it, it is great!
No isn't as good as a spray but auto paint and material would be a G note plus more labour.
So, why does this garage have a 7 foot door and 11ft 6 inch ceilings, cause I never thought it out, got a used door cheap and probably a few more STUPID reasons but I pay for it every time I put the Boler in there!!! Lol.

Turned out great Fred, that's a very unique box. Love the look of an eagles profile with the paint striping too. From the pic of the face of your garage build, I'd be ripping that thing open and installing a 10' door post haste. But then it's real easy for me to spend your money .

question fred

does that 4wheeler really move your rig? I have one about your size never thought of using it for short moves!

Great job! I really like the eagle profile look you created. Are you going to put some pound on edging on the back side to keep it from scratching your trailer?

Thanks guys.

Dave it's a long story about the door but basically I'm a little too cheap sometimes.

Bob yes these things move a boler around pretty easy. The one in the pic is a Honda 350 4wheel drive but my previous one was a 250 2 wheel drive, it had no problem either.
B careful on hills though cause the boler is heavy enough to push U around.

ststefan, I guess the black moulding around the back looks like a gap but yes it will probably rub and scratch the front of the boler some.
I'm about to find how just how much as the first test run will starting Jan 1 on a 1500 mile trip to ElCentro Ca. Where the sun goes for the winter,,,, is the ad lol

Ok you already have the edging on that I was talking about. That should help against scratching some.

Since I finally took a pic of our unit set up here in El Centro thought I should update all on the front nose cover.
Unfortunately I never had the weather to take it on a test run so it's first test was 500 miles in the snow and rain first day followed by 350 miles of strong wind and rain the second.
It was moving too much under air pressure I guess cause it developed a crack up the leading edge so it spent the rest of the trip in the back of the van.
I will have to do some reinforcing so the unit maintains its shape and Think I will mod it a bit so it cant touch the trailer when traveling as I think it gets pushed by the flex in the tongue.
Anyway we made the trip with very little problem and re enjoying the sun.
