Tinting Scamp Windows

Hello,

Has anyone felt the need or explored the idea of tinting the windows on their Scamp? Any pros or cons? I realize there is the option of reflectex in the windows to help with insulation against extreme temperatures and one might have to wipe those tinted film windows of condensation which could shorten the life of the film. I don't know. Ideas? Thoughts?

Tinted Windows

I tinted the windows in my 4500 Trillium about 4 years ago. I tinted them the same degree of tint that my 30 ft RV has. I don't see a deterioration in the tint and I am extremely satified with them. My wife still can't get used to them. She thinks that you can still see in the Trailer. You certainly cannot during the day and only if you have the curtains open at night. I don't have a condensation problem and clean them just like I would clean my windows on a regular bases.
The tint that I used only has a mild reflection to it. Sometimes I don't know that they are tinted.

Good Luck on your decision.

Question Tinting curved plexiglas?

If the windows are flat glass, adding a film tint should be relatively easy IF you get the glass meticulously clean. This means going over it with a razor blade while wet after the first cleaning, and keeping the glass wet during the application of the film. The front and rear solid windows on a Scamp are propositions that I do not have any experience with.

I used 5% Limo Dark film purchased at WalMart on my Fiber Stream windows.
