Trillium 1300 Cooktop

Hi - has anyone ever replaced their sink and cooktop with the integrated one-piece and if so - how did it go?

I will be doing it fairly soon, I have the stove/sink unit already. I just need the time. I will be building a new countertop to put it in.

I ordered it from Jackson Leisure Supplies in the UK, on eBay. This is what I ordered, and it came with a tap. I just got a cold tap only, as there will be no water heater on board. It did end up costing me $480 CAD all in, shipped to my door.

I found one with the Trillium Outback team - I sent them an email but haven't heard anything back. Don't really want to spend that much money - guess I'll have to put that on my Christmas list!! Our fridge seems to work fine with electricity but it looks pretty sad - think that's where I will have to concentrate my money for now. Would love to see pics when it's done Jim!

I had some rust spots on the metal trim on the fridge, which I cleaned up and sprayed with white appliance paint. It looks real sharp now.

I will be posting more photos as things get done on my rebuild thread.

Posted this question on another thread but I'll ask it here again - the PO painted the cooktop and I would like to repaint it - has anyone done this with any success? I'm hoping she used high heat paint but still not sure if it's the right product or if it should have been done at all? Thanks for any input/advice!

I tried painting the cooktop with a white high heat paint. I sanded it down good, cleaned with acetone, then sprayed it. It looked great. BUT, the paint scrapes of quite easily. I am wondering if a high heat primer should have been used, the can never made mention of it in the prep.

I had the same response (or lack thereof), but got it quick after ordering from their eBay store.

I'm interested in this as well. I can't find one that will ship here to the US. Jim, when you ordered your unit, was there an option to ship to Canada? I'm only seeing an option to ship to the UK. I'm waiting to hear back from the seller. I'd love to hear any tips or alternate sellers. Thanks!

The only way I could get the one I did was to buy through eBay. Not sure that Jackson Leisure has any listed, but if you search for SMEV 9222 you will find what is available to you.

Thanks for the info. Darn. I wonder if he updated the shipping details. There doesn't seem to be a way to get it to the US through eBay.

Well, you can't have mine (actually my daughter's)

Going through eBay.ca, i did find just one, and it has a right hand sink. Right will not work if you have a drawer above the fridge.

There is a smoking deal on buying three as well. It doesn't say which side the sink is on, but a photo shows right as well.

That is a smoking deal! Too bad it won't work in my Trillium. I might have to find a different solution.

Jim, I read that folks who bought European versions of SMEV products ran into gas line connection issues. What is your experience? Raz

Ask me in a week or two. It is still on the shelf, yet to be connected. It uses an 8mm, or 5/16" compression to 3/8" flair fitting, so should not be a problem. I plan to have my plumbing buddy pressure test the whole gas system, once it is complete.
