Trillium 1300 Green Touch-up Paint Found

Wanted to touch up the stock avocado green Trillium painted interior fiberglass, but couldn't find any current references on this site.

There was earlier mention of a Home Depot color match, but when I called them, they didn't make that brand of paint anymore.

So went back to Home Depot, got their color swatches and matched them up with the Trilly green interior color. Came up with 2 colors, the best being Martha Living brand Sultana MSL101 (? v sl lighter) and the next closest was Behr Natchez Moss PPU9-5 (sl darker).

The best news is that one can purchase the 8oz color samples of each color for $2.54 each. What a bargain!

When it comes time to do the touch-up, my plan is to start with the Sultana MSL101 and add tiny amounts of the Behr Moss in a small container to get the color a perfect match.

One has to be careful matching the colors, as one can be thrown off by how the area is lighted and by other color reflections.

If you can get a small piece of the fiberglass you can take it to a paint store and have them match the color almost exactly. The interior greeb is fiberglass with gelcoat.

You are quite correct about the best and easiest way to get the correct color. Unfortunately, there was nothing in the interior with the green color that was removable.

I wouldn't be interested in applying house paint on my Scamp. If you could color match to an automotive or marine paint, then yes. YMMV

There is an answer. Call around to the local "Real" auto supply stores that service the autobody business. There is a service available that can custom mix paint into a spray can or in what ever amount you want in a can.

They will walk out to your trailer with a portable color spectrometer, take sample readings, feed that into the paint mixing system, and make up paint for you in the exact color you have after X years of fading etc.

This is how body shops match the paint on that door you damaged to the color of the fender in a 10 y.o. TV.

We do have an auto paint store nearby that I use, but they don't have a portable spectrophotometer and their parking lot is very small to get the tow vehicle and Trilly in. They would have to eyeball the color match as well.

The house paint could be taken to the auto paint store for a try at a match. Even though unsuccessful initially at finding someone with a portable spect, it would be worth another try, especially now hearing that some places actually do it. Thank you.
