trillium 1300 with 14" wheels fitment

I have seen a few other threads on this but nobody has really mentioned clearance issues if any while actually driving and or setting up on uneven sites. Most 14" trailer tires that I can find are 205/75r14. Which to me means it's going to fit slightly taller. From the pictures I have seen the gap to towards the rear looks a little tight. I'm just wondering if those running the set up if you have had any issues with rubbing at all.

issues on my 76 13' Trillium.

Currently running 14's, even temporarily ran a set of 15's off my dump trailer with no issues when I had some welding done.

I tried the 205 75R and 14" trailer rims.. they would have worked BUT I was a bit concerned about clearance on big bumps.. so I decided after a bunch of calculations and searching on 14" white rims and 195/70R-14
Nice and wide and fairly low profile! Stable as all get out and look great!

Where did you find that size in trailer tires? Or are they truck tires?

Hi they are passenger car tires lower profile to control sway. They roll beautifully and stable

I also use 14" Ranger rims on my Trillium 4500. No problem.

Are the wheel wells and axle height the same on 1300 and 4500?

I have three of each. I just went out with a tape measure. The wheel wells seemed to be identical on both the 1300's and the 4500's. They were 28" long where I measured them, which was just where they started to curve under the trailer. They also all seemed to be 16" from the center of the wheel to the top of the well.

The age range is 73 to 77 on the 1300's and 76? to 78 on the 4500's.

What size are the Ranger tires and are they LT rated? I don't know why I'm having such a hard time finding any under 215 width?

My tires are 205-75 R14 ST.

I am running the same size tires as David. 205 / 75R14. When I replaced my axle last year, I added a 1 1/2" spacer between the frame and axle. The outside diameter of the tire follows the curve of the wheel well perfectly.

David I am a little bummed now.. I could not find any Ranger rims locally here...so I used some white trailer rims.. I think they look pretty good... BUT I originally had 205 75 R14 ST and looking at the clearance- I thought is was a LITTLE close and thought it MAY hit the wells on bumps.. maybe I was wrong.. maybe not.. so I went with the 195 70 14 which are right in between the Weeny 80 series 13's and the 205 75 14... While mine I think look just right I wonder if the 205's would have worked...
Anyways your trailer looks almost identical to mine.. Looks great!

Ranger rims come up fairly often in Alberta. I have several, if you are in Calgary, I will give you a good deal on the deer hoof style of 14" rims.

Yeah it's weird that they don't come up a lot in Toronto area very often and when they do they are pricey!
