Trillium belly band clips

I removed my belly band on my 78 Trillium 4500 today. I know others here have done this, I hope to benefit from your experiance. First is the removal of the clips the rivets went in to. What is an effective way to remove these? Also once removed how did you get the fiberglass to lie flat again? Thank you.

I used a Dremel tool to cut around the clips and then popped them out. Then I used a grinder to smooth out the fiberglass. Good Luck with your renovation!

Thank you Spanke, I appreciate the info and the photos. I went out and bought a dremel tool today, looks easy enought but labor intensive. I used your reply to find other links that were also helpful. (Spanke public profile, statistics, all posts by Spanke), to your post here
